“Coast Guard” and “Survivors Speak” Submissions:

Since June 2020, more than 100 brave survivors of maritime and military sexual abuse and harassment have published their stories here at MLAA. Publishing these stories has been our most important and impactful work, and the stories these brave mariners have shared are changing the industry.

If you would like to contribute to change in the military and maritime industry by submitting a story for publication, you can submit your story here through this form either anonymously or with your contact information. If you include contact information, we will attempt to reach out to you regarding your story before we publish it. Our preferred process is to speak with you directly about your story, but we realize many people are not willing to do that. If you are willing, we encourage you to message us to set up a confidential phone call to discuss your story.

If you would like to submit an anonymous story, message or tip, please use something like “Jane Doe” or “John Doe” in the Name field of the contact form. Published stories will also be posted on Instagram and Facebook.

Please draft your story in a separate word processor before putting it into the form, and please include as much detail as possible. We will redact any names of persons or any personally identifiable information included in anonymously submitted stories.

If you would like your message, tip, or story to be remain confidential and not published, please say so in your message.
