When I Reported a Repeat Offender, Nothing Happened to Him and I was Eventually Discharged from the Coast Guard for PTSD

** See Disclaimer Below **

Out of boot camp, I was sent to Small Boat Station Hono. My BM3 and I had developed a purely physical relationship, which he apparently was not on board with. Over a duty-free weekend, I was home alone, in my apartment, my secured building. Apparently, he had some how managed to get access to my personal file and get my address.

He broke INTO the building, which you needed a key for, found my apartment, and proceeded to stand outside, bang on my door, screaming, yelling, and threatening me, insisting I let him in to show him I wasn't "fucking" anyone else. I was absolutely terrified, and I wound up hiding in my bathroom, door locked, and called the police. I told my command about it, and they did absolutely nothing, they brushed it under the rug.

I had to work with him every single day we were on duty. I became so paranoid that he would come back to my apartment and try to hurt me. I wound up moving all together.

Also, throughout my time at the station, I had an AET2 spreading rumors that he and I were having sex in his Chief's office, in our berthing rooms, and outside of work. When the duty crew would leave, he would walk into my berthing, unannounced, I would have to run to the door and force him out, then locking the door until the crew came back.

Even to this day, years later after both getting out, he insisted on messaging me out of nowhere begging for nude pictures and videos of me. I wound up blocking him. His poor wife should probably be informed of his behavior, because I'm sure I'm not the only one he's done this to.

I was on a boat out of Seattle (I'll keep it vague) as an OS3. Another OS3 who I'd stand CIC watch with had befriended me, and we became close in a platonic capacity only. We had pulled into San Diego, and I was on watch, he wasn't, but had decided to stay on the boat instead of going out on liberty.

Rec Deck 2 had a funny layout. It was a large room with a small, narrow part off to the side where the computers were. I was seated at the last computer, next to the wall/printer, essentially alone, as it was late in the evening. He walked in and sat down next to me, chatted as usual. When I went to leave, he began to get handsy with me, I fought back, and he pushed me against the back wall and held me there, shoving his tongue down my throat and groping me. I pushed and kicked him off of me, ran back to berthing, and told my OS1, who reported it to the OSC (who seemingly hated women). They basically lamented when they heard my story and commented on how they really didn't want to make a big deal of this, have to send it up the chain, get it investigated, etc., and proceeded to try to get me not to report it because it would have been a hassle for them.

I did report it, and it only pissed off my XO, who was an asshole for many, many other reasons, but basically had ME removed from the boat and eventually discharged for PTSD due to sexual trauma according to Medical. I gave my statements to CGIS and a victim advocate. CGIS I don't think did anything with it at all. It also later came out that he had been a REPEAT OFFENDER FOR SIMILAR SITUATIONS TO MINE.

Again, nothing happened to him. He stayed in, I got discharged.
